Collaboration between the Undip Statistics Department and the Jepara Regency Communication and Informatics Office Combines Expertise in Sectoral Data Validation 2023

Jepara, May 16, 2023 – In an effort to improve the quality of data used in decision-making and strategic planning, the Jepara Regency Communication and Informatics Office, in close collaboration with the Statistics Department of Diponegoro University (Undip), held a training on data sampling and validation theory. The training took place on May 13, 2023, and brought together participants from various institutions, including the Police, the Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda), the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the Communication and Informatics Office (Dinsikominfo), and several village governments in Jepara Regency.

This training program represents a concrete step towards improving the competency of data experts in various government institutions and agencies that play a crucial role in providing quality data and information. The training took place at the Jepara Regency Communication and Informatics Office Building and was well-received by participants eager to deepen their understanding of data sampling and validation theory.

This training was supported by Arief Rachman Hakim, S.Si., M.Si., a lecturer and statistician from the Undip Statistics Department, who is also known for his experience in data processing and statistical analysis. He provided comprehensive material on sampling theory, appropriate sampling techniques, and data validation to ensure the resulting data is reliable and factual.

One of the training participants expressed his appreciation. “We are very grateful to the Jepara Regency Communications and Informatics Office and the Undip Statistics Department for providing this training. This is an important step in improving the quality of the data we manage and providing the basis for better policies.”

The Head of the Jepara Regency Communications and Informatics Office, Arif Darmawan, S.Sos., MH, also expressed his hope that this collaboration would continue and bring significant benefits to data management in Jepara Regency. “We hope this training will be the beginning of closer collaboration in human resource development and improved sectoral data management.”
